In my nearly 12 years as a pediatric sleep specialist and founder of Rest Well Baby, I have supported thousands of families. My journey into the world of sleep coaching was driven by a deep desire to help parents move past the "survival" phase and into a life where their entire family can thrive. Today, with a Master’s degree in Counseling and a Bachelor’s in Psychology, I’ve dedicated my career to co-creating personalized, adaptive sleep plans that work for the unique needs of every family.
Because I have worked with such a high volume of families across my private practice and specialized platforms, I’ve developed a keen clinical intuition. I don't just see a child who won't stay in bed; I see a child whose system might be struggling to find the calm necessary for rest.
In my practice, I prioritize a "screening-first" philosophy. While I do not provide medical diagnoses, I am a diligent investigator. My goal is to identify the "Sleep Stealers" that are often missed—those underlying factors that can make behavioral coaching feel like an uphill battle.
Over a decade of experience has taught me to look for "red flags" related to:
Low Ferritin (Iron Deficiency): Identifying the physical restlessness or "growing pains" that disrupt deep sleep.
Pediatric Airway Health & OSA: Spotting subtle signs like mouth breathing or restless positions.
Silent Reflux & GURD: Recognizing the discomfort that prevents a child from lying flat comfortably.
Sensory & Developmental Challenges: Understanding how sensory processing can impact a child’s ability to settle and self-regulate.
By screening for these possibilities at the start of our work together, I ensure that we aren't wasting energy on behavioral strategies if there is a biological or developmental piece of the puzzle that needs professional attention first.
This commitment to the "biology of sleep" is why I have partnered with Macall Gordon, M.A. Macall is a fellow Certified Gentle Sleep Coach, the founder of Little Livewires, and a respected researcher in the field of temperament and sleep.
We co-founded The Low Ferritin Parent Network because we kept seeing the same pattern: families struggling with relentless sleep challenges that were actually being driven by low ferritin and other biological factors. We noticed more and more cases where parents were identifying the symptoms but hitting a wall when trying to get the support and validation they needed.
Together, Macall and I bring a combined 20+ years of experience and advanced degrees to this project. This searchable Facebook community is a bridge between research and clinical experience, providing a hub for the evidence-based information that is often missing from the standard sleep conversation.
Helping your child get the rest they need is a mission rooted in clinical experience. When you work with Rest Well Baby, you are getting the benefit of a decade-plus of expertise and a perspective shaped by thousands of unique family dynamics. Let’s look at the whole child, so we can finally reach those "Sweet Dreams."
Want to learn more? During my Sweet Dreams Call, we can screen for these underlying issues together and discuss the best path forward for your child's restorative sleep.
